Geyikbayiri

Geyikbayırı, which many people around the world recognise, has become the focal point of climbers, hikers, mountain bikers and nature lovers. With its location right next to Antalya, it attracts attention with its interesting nature with its steep walls and many routes that meet these walls, which are at the foot of Geyiksivrisi.

Geyikbayırı is located within the surroundings of the centre of Antalya and contains Red Pine forests. What gives this place its name is that the people who used to live there say that there are deer in their living spaces. It is one of the three most important climbing centres in Europe and one of the top 10 in the world. This ranking puts Geyikbayırı in the first place in the field of climbing in Turkey. There are many routes in Geyikbayırı and the number of these routes has exceeded a thousand today. The climbing centre provides a beautiful experience to its guests interested in this sport with different slopes, heights and very challenging tracks.

The rocky area located directly opposite Geyiksivrisi, one of the important summit areas of Beydağları, takes its name from Geyikbayırı, which is the centre of the climb. The formation process of this rock has emerged thanks to the presence of tectonic movements. The heights of these rocks vary between 15 and 50 metres. Although it mostly contains limestone, conglomerate is also encountered.
